Beginner Pistol
Overview
This class is perfect for people with varying skill levels. From having never touched a gun to wanting a refresher on the fundamentals.
I strive to create an intimidation free environment. You will never be yelled at and you will never be talked down to. Students can walk into this class with nothing. No FOID. No gear. No knowledge. I will take care of everything. If you are taking this as a private class, we will go at your pace.
The Beginner Handgun class is a two hour class. We spend the first part in the classroom and the second part in the range.

Equipment
No equipment is necessary to take this class! I will provide everything you may need in the class.
However, if you have your own equipment that you would like to use you are welcome to bring it!
I have a variety of handguns students can utilize. I try to acquire the most popular 9mm ranging from full size to conceal carry size.

Scheduling
I typically offer this class every other Friday (12:00pm-2:00pm), the fourth Thursday of the month (5:30pm-7:30pm), and most Saturdays at RMG Guns and Ammo in Mundelein, Illinois.
This class has a maximum of 4 spots. The cost is $100.

As a first timer, using a firearm can be both exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. Today I was able to have a class with Jess and then move on to range time.
During class Jess went over all of the basics: the ammo, the parts of ammo, what one may use in certain situations, the parts of the firearm, how everything works together, how to handle the firearm, so on and so forth. Now this was a lot of information to take in, but not once did I feel as though Jess was rushing through it.
Jess was great about checking in and making sure I was still following along and never had any problem repeating or going over something a little more.
By the time we got in the range I was feeling confident in what I had to do, but also how to do it. Jess was great at providing feedback while we were in the range and was encouraging the whole time.
I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor for my first time and I cannot wait to go back!
